Swift Publisher News — February 19th, 2007
Dear friends,
We are happy to announce forthcoming release of Swift Publisher
version 2, the release is scheduled for early March. Another good news is that
upgrade to version 2 will be free for all customers of version 1.
Before the release of Swift Publisher version 2, we would like to
introduce you Swift Publisher v.2 beta to evaluate. Look forward to hear your
feedbacks, suggestions and program inconveniences.
Major additions available in version 2:
- Master pages option was added, allowing you to create common
background for several pages (for page numbering, heading, background picture, etc.)
- Panel to preview and manage pages was added.
- Tables are now supported (cells can contain text and graphics).
- Imposition option become available in print dialog, to arrange brochure pages
automatically.
- Text to curve feature let you transform the document into vector image, this will
help to avoid problems with font absence when you send a document to a printshop.
NOTE: It is important to install beta version only if
you have Swift Publisher v.1, as the installer contain application only. Beta program
will be installed to the Application folder separately from the original copy. Therefore,
you don't need to worry about loosing you current version, you will easily be able to remove
beta version and use Swift Publisher v.1.
Also, please, do not forget that this is a Beta edition and some functionalities
are at the final stage of their development. We suggest you to make the backup of your Swift
Publisher documents before start working in Swift Publisher v.2 beta.
