What's new in Labels & Addresses v.1.6 since 1.5.7
Version 1.6 features the following enhancement:
- Added import of contacts from Microsoft Outlook 2011;
- Users who purchased Image Tricks Pro from the Mac App Store can now use the Pro features of the Image Tricks plug-in from inside Labels & Addresses;
- Fixed the bug preventing users of non-English versions from creating custom-sized label papers (paper size would be A4);
- For contacts marked as “Company” in Apple Address Book, the program now displays the company name instead of the First/Last name as before;
- Double-clicking an Address Book contact in in the Source panel of Labels & Addresses now opens this contact for editing in Address Book;
- The default font size set in Preferences now applies to all text fields, not only to Address Panels as before;
- Other minor improvements and fixes.

Version 1.5.7 features the following enhancement:
- Drag and drop installation. All necessary resources are now contained inside the application;
- Added Video Tutorials window;
- The Source panel now remembers its hidden state, without reappearing after restart;
- Improved the program's performance when scrolling through the clipart in the Source panel;
- Objects now display marks on the rulers reflecting their edges and center;

Version 1.5.5 features the following enhancement:
- The program can now automatically check for available updates and download if necessary;
- Object dimensions on the screen are now more accurate for 100% zoom setting;
- Fixed the problem with “Show foreground objects on the background” functionality which displayed foreground objects without transparency instead of semi-transparent;
- Fixed the bug when dragging a picture from Photo Booth into the program would create a zero-size object;
- Fixed incorrect behavior when resizing multiple objects with Cmd key pressed;
- Fixed the bug when the program would not display addresses from Address Book if a group with an empty name was there;
- Fixed the bug that reset calibration values to 0 in the Printer Calibration dialog — now they are stored and displayed for each printer;

Version 1.5.4 features the following enhancement:
- Fixed a bug that caused images in EPS format inserted into a document not to print;
- Address panel templates “Name + Spouse” and “Family” were modified to appear correctly in German, Spanish and French localized versions;
- Fixed the bug where changing the label length for a continuous label paper would cause the label content to shift on print;

Version 1.5.3 features the following enhancement:
- Improved automatic address formatting by country. The program now recognizes country names in different languages;

- Fixed the bug that caused the program to crash when a tab marker was moved in the text editing mode;

Version 1.1 features the following enhancements:
New Features:
- Auto-incrementing counter can now be used as input for barcodes;
- An option to hide the barcode's human-readable value becomes available;
- Postal barcodes are now supported in custom address formats.
Fixes:
- The Edit Image window would not come up for objects with image fill — fixed;
- Problem with the controls on the Image tab of Inspector remaining active after Fill was disabled for an object with image fill solved;
- Various problems with unauthorized changing of the selected object's color when switching between document windows with the Color panel on has been fixed;
- Individual address fields inside a group would not update when a new contact was chosen — fixed;

Version 1.0.1 features the following enhancements:
- Importing contacts from Excel 2008 is now supported (.xlsx file format);
- Improvements were made to Address AutoResize feature, especially for addresses with postal barcodes and rotated addresses;
- Problem with import from Now Contact solved;
- Problem with File Data and Counter fields not printed when being inside a group fixed;
- Document is now centered correctly in Fit to Page, Fit Width and Fit Height zoom modes;

What's new in Labels & Addresses v.1.0 since Mail Factory
Version 1.0 features the following enhancements:
General:
- Create and print barcodes with data being either input directly or merged from a text file. The following barcode standards are supported: Code 39, Code 39 Extended, Code 128, EAN 8, EAN 13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Interleaved 2 of 5;
- Grouping functionality was added in the program;
- Insert Date & Time in a variety of customizable formats;
- Hold Editing Modes via double click added for toolbar buttons (Text Box, Box, Line);
- OS X standard Find and Spelling tools added;
- A new document format introduced, backward compatible with the old format;
- Use Find in Google Maps option to see the recepient's location in Google Maps.
Object Editing:
- Adjustable shadows with color settings were added;
- Gradient Fill (linear and radial) became available for different objects;
- Option to select several objects with the opportunity to resize and rotate them as a single item was added (Smart Selection);
- Object rotation can be performed using corner handles or keyboard (Cmd+Opt+left/right arrows, Shift increase speed), in addition to Inspector options;
- Object rotation to the left/right is available from context menu;
- Address panels can be rotated via Inspector;
- Pattern option can be applied to lines;
- Arrow keys move the selected object with increased step while Shift key is pressed.
Image Editing:
- An option to fill Smart Shapes with pictures and make creative frames for your photos;
- Option to generate unique backgrounds is now available (requires freeware Image Tricks);
- Art Text integration allows to create high quality textual graphics, headings, logos, icons.
Text Editing:
- Vertical alignment can now be applied to address panels, fields and barcodes to ensure correct positioning on the label in case of merge printing;
- Character and line spacing can now be adjusted;
- Capitalize feature now inlcudes the All Caps, First Caps and All Small options.
Paper Formats:
- Support for non-standard paper sizes added (in paper layout database, in Custom Paper dialog);
- Ellipse labels are now supported;
- Postcards foldlines support added;
- Dozens of new layouts from the most popular manufacturers.
User Interface:
- Interface changes: new Source panel, Tabs with advanced editing options were added to the Inspector window;
- Support for layers in documents (Background/Foreground);
- New Zoom options (Fit Width, Fit Height, Fit Page);
- Auto scroll activates when an object is created or moved outside window area;
- Improved zooming;
- Horizontal and vertical guidelines added;
- A ruler and measurement units were added;
- Context menu (Ctrl+Mouse click or right button Mouse click) varies depending on the selected object;
- Option to set object position and size manually available from Geometry Tab of Inspector.
Import/Export:
- Adjustable export to EPS and JPEG added;
- LZW compression becomes available when exporting to TIFF;
- Option to choose Color Model (RGB/CMYK) when exporting to raster formats (TIFF and JPEG);
- Now export supports bleeds, cut marks and allows to modify resolution;
- Text to Curve feature while export to PDF and EPS added;
- Support for Quartz filters in export to PDF;
- Importing images from Custom Folder: "Get Images from Subfolders" option now added;
- iPhoto folders and events are now supported.
Document Save:
- Auto save functionality adjustable from Preferences Dialog, will help to restore documents after accidental computer crash;
- The structure of document storage was changed, now images are kept in their original format;
- Inner Data Storages for Senders, Recipients and Address Lists are stored in external files which improves program's performance;
- Documents containing user pictures become smaller in size thanks to automatic LZW compression (only for TIFF format);
- Support for user templates via Assistant added.
Printing:
- Continuous paper is now supported for Brother and Dymo printers;
- Create on-the-fly print for multiple contacts selected in the Source panel;
- Merge printing improved.
