Thumbnails in Finder

December 21st, 2011, 7:56 pm

Hi there

When I'm looking for an Art Text file the thumbnail of the file is just the Art Text icon. Is there a way I can see a thumbnail that is a preview of the image?

Thanks heaps!

Hi djaneb,

The Finder displays the preview once you:
- select the file in the column view;
- select the file ans press the Space key.

Hello again

I'm finding it very frustrating that I can't see thumbnails without using the space bar to preview - isn't this a feature that should be able to be included. As my number of Art Text projects has increased it is harder and harder to find the one I want just by file names.

My other graphics programmes all show previews in Finder with pressing the Space Bar.

Thanks!

Hi Deb,

I've refreshed your feature request in our list.

Would the lack of this feature be the reason that Art Text files do not show up in Pixa, the image manager? Or is it that Pixa doesn't include the Art Text file type in its filters, and if they did I could see the files, but not the previews?

Thanks

Pixa has nothing to do with the document icon. This program is an image manager. It doesn't read the Art text file format. By some reason, Finder can show a preview of Art Text document, but Pixa cannot.
