Get Backup 2.2 Adds Encryption CapabilityContact: Helen Nersesova Odessa, Ukraine — July 7th, 2009 — BeLight Software has released an update for Get Backup version 2.2, it's file backup and synchronization utility. Hardly anyone needs more explanation than currently available why to backup valuable data. BeLight went further with this update than just offer means to protect your files from hard disk failure or other events that may lead to loss of important data. How about protecting sensitive information like financial documents, personal emails and other private data from unauthorized use in case backup archive falls into wrong hands? Get Backup 2.2 introduces ability to secure your backups using one of four encryption standards (AES-128, AES-256, Blowfish or Triple DES) to prevent unauthorized restore. Ability to secure backups will provide users high level of comfort and piece of mind when storing their backups on external hard drives, 3rd party servers, etc. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) should be used as the highest level of protection, while AES-128 is a good alternative when faster encryption is required and lower security level is acceptable. Blowfish encryption is thought to be a happy medium by providing sufficient security and quick encryption process. Get backup costs $39.95, the update is free to registered users of Get Backup 2. The complete list of changes: 30 days trial of Get Backup is available at:
